Arizona Department of Veterans' Services

The Arizona Department of Veterans’ Services (ADVS) provides direct services to Veterans through the administration of 50+ benefit counselors, two skilled-nursing Veterans' Home facilities, and three Arizona Veterans' Memorial Cemeteries. AZDVS also provides coordination and technical assistance to Veterans organizations.

The  objective of the Arizona Department of Economic Security Veterans Program is to increase opportunities for veterans and eligible spouses to obtain employment and job training in Arizona. Eligible veterans and spouses are entitled to priority services in job referrals and training, as well as other employment-related services.

Transitioning Assistance

The Transition Assistance Program (TAP) provides information, resources, and tools to Service members and their loved ones to help prepare for the move from military to civilian life. Service members begin TAP one year prior to separation, or two years prior to retiring.
